Cute Dog Harnesses

Why does your fur baby need a Dog Harness?

No matter what type of fur baby you have, one thing's for sure: They need to go out on walks. We recommend two types of leash attachments, a dog harness and a collar.

A dog harness offers better safety as they cover an extended area of the body, it goes over the shoulders, front limbs, and chest. The biggest benefit of a dog harness is the shift in pressure from the neck to a larger area of the body. especially if they tend to pull on the leash, to prevent injuries to your fur baby’s trachea. They’re popular as a first option with puppies but have also been used by pawrents of the fur babies that like to pull on walks or that are large and harder to control. A well-fitting harness, especially a three-point style that fits around the body at multiple points, can be helpful for nervous dogs that can back out of a collar or a more simple harness style.

A dog harness can also reduce walk time woes in several ways. If you are running with your dog or allowing some additional freedom on a long line, a harness is always recommended to avoid them hurting their neck if they build up momentum and reach the end of the leash while travelling at high speeds.

However, we recommend a dog collar to add to your fur baby’s walking gear. A dog collar will allow you to attach an ID tag with your fur baby's name and your phone number to help them home quickly in case they are lost. You can purchase a stylish dog collar to match the dog harness.
